Nasal Allergies

That’s according to the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, which also estimates that allergies are on the rise. At Scotch Institute of ENT in Wesley Chapel, FL, we treat several types of allergic reactions, including:

Our doctors can also perform skin allergy testing to pinpoint the allergen(s) that is causing a patient’s symptoms. During this painless test, a very small amount of each allergen is applied to the patient’s back, and if the skin becomes slightly itchy or red, it can be determined that the patient is allergic to the applied substance. We can test for around 40 allergens that are common in our area, such as various molds, weeds, grasses, trees, dust, and animal dander.

Additionally, Scotch Institute of ENT offers allergy drops, or sublingual immunotherapy, to help patients build up their own natural immunity against their specific allergies. These drops are custom formulated right here in our office, can be taken at home, and quickly dissolve under the tongue. Other available allergy treatments include shots, oral and nasal medications, or lifestyle and dietary modifications.
