What Is the PROPEL® Implant?

NasalThe PROPEL® implant is a small, spring-like device made of a biocompatible material that slowly dissolves over time. congestion is an extremely common problem with multiple causes, but not all stuffy noses are the same.

It is placed in the sinus cavity during endoscopic sinus surgery to:

  • Support the sinus structure and keep it open.
  • Deliver anti-inflammatory medication (mometasone furoate) directly where it's needed.
  • Promote faster healing and reduce scarring or the need for additional procedures.

PROPEL® is designed to:

  • Maintain sinus patency

  • Reduce postoperative interventions
  • Decrease the need for oral steroids or revision surgeries
  • Provide targeted drug delivery without systemic side effects

Who Is a Candidate?

PROPEL® is ideal for patients >18 undergoing Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS) due to:

  • Chronic sinusitis not responding to medical therapy
  • Nasal polyps
  • Recurrent infections
  • Sinus blockage impacting quality of life
